Door.
It is composed of the two Arabic letters that i can easily recognize, alif and ba. It took me an evening of staring at script and listening to spoken vocab words on an online Arabic language program site to get that far (you have to pay for the program, but i was exploiting the free sample section of the site). If I keep up this pace (which I probably won't), I'll have a decent grasp of the alphabet (though it's a consonant alphabet, which i think makes "alphabet" the wrong word) in a couple of weeks. Then it's a matter of grasping this whole "moon" word and "sun" word thing. After that, i don't know: The free sample only included lesson 1.
