Brian's vibrations are good but Anoushka's are classic.
In the city of London, a year after I was born, Sukanya Rajan gave birth to a baby girl. She named the child Anoushka. Seventeen years later- some five years after the ousting of George I in the United States and a mere three years before the ascension of George II to the throne- Anoushka used a resonating chamber and something on the order of 18 or 20 strings to vibrate air in such a way that a vibrating-airsmith was able to capture and replicate Anoushka's vibrations.
Tonight, or rather this morning, by employing a stunning array of electronic voodoo, I am able to set the air in my very own room to vibrating with the very same frequencies and wavelengths Anoushka mapped out years ago. In Santa Monica. A London born, raised in New Dehli, daughter of a legend, a year younger than me, with a live album recorded in Carnegie Hall, vibrating air in a vibrating-airsmith's shop in Santa Monica. Perhaps I'm bitter but the vibrations are sweet, and I have a number of bones and a much greater number of brain cells in my head which allow me to taste.
