Odd that so widely accepted a term could be so completely vacant of all meaning... or not.

Nothing says christmas like spending a half hour staring at photos of tortured and starving prisoners in a Khmer Rouge prison. The species never ceases to amaze.

If you're an urban planner you can quote Wright, but please, not Orwell.

I have narrowed down to three the potential reasons no one listens to me. Here they are in order of increasing likelihood:

1. It would cost people too much, psychologically and/or financially, to admit that I am right, and to act accordingly.

2. People think that I am crazy.

3. I don't actually ever say anything.

You know who I blame? The English. That's who I blame. Also, Hitler.

Can't just sit there, staring at a wall, asking it to explain itself. Wasting time. Get out a hammer and get into that wall. Figure out what it's made of, what's in it. Look at what it holds up, and what it rests on. The foundation, the footings. The ground they're in. Dig. Mark everything off into grids with string. Use a little brush to wipe the soil from the bones. Catalogue them painstakingly. Consult and confer and determine what exactly you’re looking at, what it belonged to, when it died and how it lived. Figure out what preceded it, how it evolved. Track it all the way back into the slime and down to a cell. Then the necessary conditions. Then the starting conditions. Figure out whether there’s a god there or not.

Then, I think, you’ll find a single state solution is the only viable option.
